On demand, Calcy IV displays an unobtrusive and movable overlay button. By tapping this button once while in a monster screen, Calcy IV automatically calculates this monsters IVs (individual values). IVs are hidden values which determine how strong a monster can be. This means that two monsters of the same species can have up to 20% different maximal CP. Calcy IV helps you to decide in under a second whether a monster is worth leveling up or can be transferred immediately.
There is no need to insert the monster values manually. The app uses a screenshot and optimized text-recognition to read the important values. Thanks to a very refined procedure, this nearly always gives the correct IVs without need of manual correction. Therefore, both the scan and the output of Calcy function without interference of the game. In the rare cases the monster values are visually blocked, you can adjust the missing values manually.
The app uses the arc above the monster to get the precise level of this monster. This means you get more precise IVs than by just using the cost of the next power-up. In contrast to other prominent websites and apps, we are using an improved formula to calculate the level from the position of the arc. This means Calcy IV gets more accurate results than other IV calculators – this is especially observable before level 15 and after level 25 and you can control this ingame!
